Africa's Creative Economy Is Growing. Infrastructure Isn't.

Africa’s creative industries are among the fastest-growing sectors globally, yet millions of young talents lack access to professional training, production facilities, mentorship, and entrepreneurial support.

Tikiri exists to close that gap.

Why Tikiri?

Tikiri is more than a creative institution.

It is a fully integrated campus combining education, innovation, enterprise development, cultural preservation, and leadership formation within one ecosystem designed to prepare Africa’s youth for the global creative economy.

Tikiri – Campus for Creativity and Innovation is a flagship initiative of the Center for Creative Arts and Education (CCAE) Polytechnic, conceived to advance talent development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership within Africa’s rapidly growing creative and cultural industries.

Derived from the Ijaw word “Tikiri,” meaning playground, the campus represents an environment where creativity, learning, innovation, and responsible citizenship converge.

Located in Rivers State, Nigeria, Tikiri addresses critical gaps in Africa’s creative ecosystem by providing world-class infrastructure, industry-led training, entrepreneurial support, and life-skills development that empower young people to become creators, innovators, business leaders, and responsible members of society.

It will serve as a specialized campus dedicated to preparing young Africans for meaningful participation in the global creative economy.

Africa’s creative and cultural industries have become pivotal in economic growth, employment generation, cultural diplomacy, and social transformation. The continent is experiencing unprecedented global attention and investments across music, film, fashion, visual arts, digital media, gaming, animation, heritage and content creation.

However, a “structural gap” prevents this potential from scaling and being sustainable.

The scale of the opportunity is immense. As of 2026, Nigeria’s creative economy contributes 2.3% to the national GDP and employs 4.2 million people, with the sector’s valuation projected to reach $12.9 billion within the next three years.

Tikiri is the strategic response to this opportunity. We are building the foundational infrastructure required to professionalize this growth.
